The museum building was originally a mansion made in Qajar era in Tehran’s Tehranpars neighborhood.
The mansion was constructed in lands that were owned by Ein-ol-Dowleh, the then cancellarius in Iran.
Later, when the building was purchased by Hormoz Arash, some changes were implemented, including its name. Since then, it was called Arbab Hormoz Mansion.
Now the building is turned into the Graphic Design Museum which is open to visitors to come and see Iranian masterpieces that have beautifully mixed Iranian and western arts.
This is, in fact, the first graphic design museum in Asia.
